As Director of Conservation Science in the Center for Conservation Innovation at Defenders, Alison collaborates on projects focusing on biodiversity conservation across the United States.
Prior to joining Defenders, Alison was an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, where she led innovative research throughout Florida and Brazil. She addressed emerging topics in conservation biology, integrating field research with theory and computer modeling to better understand the impacts of multiple stressors on native biodiversity.
