Laura is collaborating with CCI and Defenders’ Southeast Field Office to review the science about how the Florida panther benefits ecosystems through its role as an apex predator. Previously, she worked with the Primate and Predator Project in the Soutpansberg mountains of South Africa. She is currently finishing writing her PhD on the ecology of fear in samango monkeys through the Program in Evolution, Ecology and Behavior at SUNY-UB. She holds a BSc in biology with a minor in applied statistics from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
