Abstract

Ash Meadows is a unique freshwater ecosystem in the middle of the hottest and driest desert in North America. It is protected by the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge. Located in southern Nevada between Las Vegas and Death Valley, Ash Meadows is dotted with more than 30 seeps and springs produced by the upwelling of groundwater.
